Benton Papaya D-Sun Cream

When I received the Benton Papaya D-Sun Cream from Benton for review, I was excited! I am always looking for a good sun cream as I am one of the palest people ever to live, so I am prone to burning. Or so I get told. A lot.

I received the Benton Papaya D-Sun Cream from Benton free in exchange for my honest review. No money was exchanged.

The Benton Papaya D-Sun Cream has several ingredients such as papaya fruit water and papaya seed oil that intrigued me. I have never seen a product where this was an ingredient, let alone one of the main ingredients for a product.

When I got the sun cream I thought I would be smelling like a fresh cut bowl of fruit. I did not and I was a little sad about it. The sun cream did smell like something sweet from my childhood that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Something fruity but mild. If you weren’t doing some hardcore smelling you may miss it.

The Benton Papaya D-Sun Cream is SPF 38/ PA+++ and helps protect this skin from UVA and UVB rays that can cause sun damage. And burning is pale people like me. But anyone can used this light cream! It is moisturizing, but not greasy. It takes a bit longer to sink in than a normal moisturizer so make sure to leave time before applying makeup for it to sink in to your skin.

Sexy me in my floppy hat. Very glam!

So far, so good for this product. I spend a lot of time in the sun and playing on blacktop in the summer, so good sun protection is a must. I would recommend that you give this sun cream a try!

Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream Review

The Review

Just because it is summer and your skin is oilier, doesn’t mean your skin is hydrated. Oily skin can be a sign of dehydration. When your skin is dehydrated it feels the need to create its own moisture. So there is no reason to slack on the moisture. Ever.

I have oilier skin even in winter, so I have to be heavy handed with the moisturizer year-round. I usually use a gel based moisturizer to avoid that greasy feeling on your face that creams sometimes have. So when I saw the words “cream” and “cocoa butter”, I was a little worried. Then I tried the Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream and I was pleasantly surprised.

Cocoa butter is normally too heavy for my skin, but this cream contains 10% cacao seed butter to help retain moisture. So, not strait cocoa butter which would explain why this cream sunk into my skin so well. It was creamy but light and melted into my skin like it was a watery gel.

This naturally derived cream also uses cacao extracts (63%) which helps to soften the skin and are rich in antioxidants. After half a summer of heavy suncream use, I am ready for some skin softening!
This is an excellent product to use in the summer due to the lightweight formula. It would also work when layered with other products in the fall and winter!

Lol moment- I work at a construction company and one of the guys accidentally used a bar of harsh soap reserved for engine grease removal on his face. Smart, I know. He knew I was usually packing moisture goodies at my desk, so he stopped to butter me up and raid my stash. I gave him the Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream I had in my purse. He rubbed it in (of course avoiding the precious beard area) and had an instant smile. He said his face no longer felt tight and was nice and soft. This is teamwork people! Now I just need them to steal their wives and girlfriends stuff instead of mine…
