Swanicoco Skincare: The Bottles and Jars

Swanicoco is my new favorite. My skin loves it and soaks it up. It is chocolate and wine to my skin. If this seems like  a overly exuberant review, that is because it is. This brand is the cat's meow. The bees knees. But seriously, this is good stuff.

I received the products in this review from Swanicoco for free in exchange for my honest opinion as part of their Swanicoco Swan program.

The first thing I noticed with the Swanicoco products was the packaging. The jars and bottles were solid. The bottles were all made of glass and the jar of cream appears to be some type of high impact plastic. I know this because I dropped the jar taking it out of the box. All was well after a few four letter words. Colorful four letter words. I was terrified. The labels and art on the boxes, bottles and jars are simple and elegant.

Swanicoco is a company that prides itself on making safe products with quality ingredients. The company also focuses on putting a high percentage of natural ingredients in each recipe.

The Review

The Extra Hydrating Waterfall Skin Toner smells amazing. A combination of lemon and herbs makes the scent light, pleasant and not overwhelming. I am a sucker for anything lemon scented. The toner itself is a bit thicker than a normal toner. Similar to the thickness and consistency of a simply syrup. It is extremely moisturizing and sinks well into my skin. I apply it both with as a cotton square and with my hands as part of the Seven Skin or Three Skin method for toners.

Swanicoco The Bio Therapy 1st Essence

The Ingredients

Bifida Ferment Lysate, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, and Xanthan Gum.

The Review

The Bio Therapy 1st Essence is a watery first essence with concentrated ingredients to pack a hydrating punch. It was very similar in color and thickness to the Extra Hydrating Waterfall Toner, but as far as I can tell there is no scent. The purpose of this essence is to boost hydration. Do not let the short list of ingredients fool you. Bifida Ferment Lysate is a probiotic ingredient currently being studied as a reputed DNA repair agent. I am definitely interested in the outcome in those studies and in the meantime I will be researching more products with this up and coming ingredient.

The Review

The fact that I liked the Extra Hydrating Waterfall Emulsion was a surprise to me. I usually do not use emulsions. Something about how they feel on my skin, I have never found one I liked. They just seemed to feel to heavy on my skin. I feel this way about a lot of creams too. Until now. The emulsion has the same lemony herbal scent. I love it. It is a combination of a toner and a cream in texture, but I hesitate to call it watery as it is still thick. It sinks in to my skin wonderfully and does not leave the residue behind I have found with other emulsions.

Swanicoco Intense Vital Swan Cream

The Ingredients

Poria Cocos Extract, Angelica Dahurica Root Extract, Cornus Officinalis Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Hyacinthus Orientalis Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ceramide 1, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Carbomer, Allantoin, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Polysorbate 60, Pearl Powder, Arginine, Bacillus/Cordyceps Sinensis/Ganoderma Lucidum/Inonotus Obliquus/Lentinus Edodes/Phellinus Linteus/Schizophyllum Commune/Tricholoma Matsutake Extract Ferment Filtrate, and Ormenis Multicaulis Oil.

The Review

I was surprised at this cream. I feel a bit like a broken record at this point, but it sinks well into my skin. It has a bit of a different scent. Not baby powder, but similar it its light scent qualities. Fresh but a slight fragrance. Not unpleasant in the least, but I don't like it as much as the toner and emulsion. I always tend to lean away from "fragrance" products as they seem to bother my allergies. But I do love this cream. I usually use a gel moisturizer to combat that heavy feeling from products, especially in the summer. I did not have this problem with this product.

Final Notes

I truly love this brand. I was amazed at how moisturized and soft my skin was when I woke up the mornings after applying these products. I recommend these products to everyone. I love the natural focus of this brand and I am looking forward to trying more products from this line. I have already purchased the Snail Fermentation line and I am just waiting for a spot in my review line to open up!
